Course description
NOTE: You need to have already completed NZQA Unit Standard 29556 Cervical Screening course in order to take this course. Please note that we may request proof of your NCSP certification in order for you to pass the update.
This update course will refresh your knowledge of cervical screening in New Zealand and key concepts. The course covers:
- A review of cervical cancer
- HPV primary screening
- Cultural safety and supportive delivery
- Barriers to screening
- Health literacy
- Recall and referral
- Who and when to screen
- Future direction for screening in New Zealand
This two-hour course is wholly self-directed and must be completed online within 30 days from date of enrolment.
