26 September is World Contraception Day – a day to think about your contraception choices.
Contraception is used to prevent pregnancy. There are many types of contraception — some work better than others. Some types of contraception protect against sexually transmissible infections (STIs).
World Contraception Day is an annual reminder to check in on your contraception and make sure it’s still the right choice for you. As many types of contraception, like condoms and the Depo Provera injection, expire or only work for a limited time, it’s also a good idea to check the dates to make sure you’re still protected.
Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa is here to help with your contraception needs. Check out our advice on contraception types, compare contraception types, make an appointment at a clinic, or talk to us over the phone or online for expert advice and care.
